Our History

1946

In 1946, we started operations transformating plastic resins for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics segments.

70's

In the 70’s, we focused the organization in the manufacturing of packaging and we developed the first dropper bottle & nozzle for ophthalmic drugs.

80's

Several important events took place in the 80’s:

  • We specialized the production plants in two segments: Pharmaceutical Industry and Personal Care Industry.
  • We developed the Roll On line and began to produce Balls.
  • We created the mold manufacturing plant.
  • We started opening international markets in neighboring countries, such as Ecuador, Venezuela and others in Central America.

90's

In the 90’s, we designed and implemented the process for manufacturing silica caps for multivitamin products.

At the same time:

  • We created the area of Research and Development that involves designing and packaging engineering.
  • We standardized the manufacturing of packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical sector under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) conditions.
  • We consolidated the development and manufacturing of vaginal applicators as the first medical device registered by Proenfar in National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (INVIMA for the acronym in Spanish) (Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos).

2000's

Around 2000:

  • We opened up new international markets in the Caribbean, Mexico and the Southern Cone.
  • We acquired the plastic packaging company BDS in Argentina.
  • We obtained ISO 9001 and BASC certifications.
  • We implemented SAP as corporate ERP solutions.
  • We developed new product lines: PET Bottles for the Pharmaceutical Industry and Plastic Squeezes Tubes for the Beauty and Personal Care Industry.
  • We were acquired by Altra Investments (Private Equity Firm).

2010's

And after 2010, we made advances, such as:

  • Certifications: ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 15378.
  • Strengthening in the development and manufacture of caps & closures with new technological processes and solutions focused on the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care industry.
  • We acquired the INNOVAPLAST group in Mexico, including the Bodega Cosme production plant specialized in manufacturing and filling products for Personal Care.
  • We built a new production plant in Mexico with more than 14,000 m2, improving manufacturing and quality standards.
  • We built the new plant in Colombia specializing in the Beauty and Personal Care sector, with world-class standards as: LEAN and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design).

Today

We are the suitablest organization in research, design, creation, production and distribution of specialized packaging in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Personal Care.

Since April 2018 we belong to Weener Plastics Group - (NEWS)
